Jacob is 8 months old. At six months old he was diagnosed with nuerobalstoma cancer. A cancerous tumor that arises from the tissues in the sympathetic nervous system. It is an aggressive malignancy that tends to metastisize rapidly to other areas of the body.

In jacobs case he was a happy healthy six month old with no signs of being sick unitl may 20th 2005 when at a routine check up a cyst was discovered in his right kidney.

After further testing the tumor was diagnosed and Jacob underwent

a major surgery to remove the large tumor. But the tumor had already spread to his bone marrow.

Today we have jacob being treated at sloan kettering memorial one of the best cancer institues for children in Ny.

The only drawback is that they do not accept our insurance carrier.

But as any parent we want whats best for our sons health so our family and friends set up a fundraiser selling raffle tickets for ten dollars a ticket with prizes and a benifit dinner to be held on Oct.15th

So far Jacob has undergone 4 bone marrow surgeries and countless blood and urine test. Our doctors have alot of faith that at this time jacobs recovery looks promising.

What tomorrow holds no one knows but for today I am enjoying everymoment with my beautiful babv boy. His big blue eyes and adorable smile make him irresistable.

So as I said in the begining of this letter this site is deticated to all of you, my friends and family you  who have kept jacob in your prayers. To all of you who have opened your hearts and your wallets. Your kindness and genorousity during this time is appreciated more than my words can express. Thanks to my family for organizing this fund for the countless hours spent on flyers, tickets, renting the hall and all that goes along with it. Thanks to my friends for spreading the word and selling tickets. Thanks to all the people who I have never even met that read our story and where touched enough to reach out and help us.
